New Relic Appoints Hilarie Koplow-McAdams As Its First-Ever Chief Revenue Officer

Industry Veteran Brings More than 30 Years of Leadership Experience and Demonstrated Success Helping World-Class Software Companies Transition from Disruptive Start-Up to Established Leader

San Francisco - December 9, 2013

New Relic, Inc., the software analytics company, today announced that Hilarie Koplow-McAdams has joined the company as its first-ever chief revenue officer, reporting directly to CEO Lew Cirne. Hilarie will be charged with building out New Relic’s sales, business development and customer success organizations, focused on growth across all market segments - from innovative startups to more mature SMBs to the world’s largest enterprises.

Hilarie has had a front row seat and held executive sales leadership positions at premier enterprise and SaaS companies for each of the last two decades. Most recently, she served as president of global sales for Salesforce.com and, before that, was vice president of sales for Intuit. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly two decades at Oracle in various sales leadership capacities. She joined Salesforce in 2008, and over the last five years, has driven the company’s remarkable top line growth from roughly $500M in annual sales to upwards of $4 billion in annual sales in 2013.

“The world’s great companies are inevitably defined by the remarkable people on their leadership teams,” said Lew Cirne, founder and CEO of New Relic. “We could not be more thrilled to welcome Hilarie to New Relic. She has built her phenomenal career by having an enormous impact on the growth of the most successful and enduring technology companies in history.”

Hilarie has an unmatched depth and breadth of experience in helping the world’s best software companies expand market focus from servicing one- to two- person start-ups, all the way to the Fortune 500. She will join forces with New Relic’s management team to support their product-first vision and will help grow its over 70,000 active accounts across a wide range of sizes and market segments.

“New Relic reminds me of where Salesforce was a few years ago, and I see a similar, if not larger, opportunity ahead. Lew's vision is to build a top-10 cloud computing company, and I believe that the team at New Relic is well-positioned to achieve this vision. I couldn’t be any more excited to join their ranks and to help build upon their successes to-date,” said Hilarie Koplow-MacAdams, Chief Revenue Officer, New Relic.

"I'm very proud of the leadership team we have built here at New Relic and, with the addition of Hilarie, it is elevated to one of the strongest I've seen at a private technology company in all my years in the industry,” added Cirne. “With Hilarie joining our team, New Relic has an opportunity to reach its full potential -- a once-in-a-decade kind of opportunity to create an enterprise software company of enduring impact and value."
